Funeral services for Mrs. Earl Curtiss who died at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. V.J. Sharp of Battle Creek October 1 were held Friday afternoon from the
Church of Christ at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating.  

Vocal numbers were given by the Rev. and Mrs. Wayne Davis.  In charge of the
floral arrangements were Mrs. Emerson Pettit, Mrs. Robert Hoy, Mrs. Leon
McQuillan and Mrs. Merrell Ketchum.  Bearers were Harry Lyle, E.W. Krainbrink,
Marvel Church, Ray Smith, Harris Jackson, George Johnson, Roy Weber and Virgil
Manley.

Attending the funeral from away were Mr. and Mrs. V.J. Sharp, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse
Hagelshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wright and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Christensen of
Battle Creek; Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Curtiss of Kalamazoo; Miss Clare Curtiss of
Grand Rapids; Charles McCord, Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Thomas, Mrs. Ila Struble and
Harvey McCord of Sears; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Proal of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Curtiss and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Curtiss of Hastings; and Mr. and Mrs. Steven
Curtiss and Mr. and Mrs. Azor Curtiss of Saranac.
