She was cherished in life by her family, especially her care taker and loving husband Clyde. Eula was born May 26, 1933, in Ionia, the daughter of Emery & Mildred Vermilya. She graduated from Owosso Bible School. On February 20, 1960, she married Clyde C. Curtiss of Lake Odessa and celebrated over 53 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery & Mildred; brother, Emery Vermilya Jr.; nephew Danny Vermilya and infant son William. Eula is survived by her husband Clyde, brother William of California; sister-in- laws Lois Curtiss of Lake Odessa, Linda (Richard) Mason of Marion, IN; brother- in-law Larry (Carmen) Curtiss of Lake Odessa; children Clifford (Wendi) of Hastings, Wanda (Robert) Johnson of Clarksville, Allan of Ionia, Stephen (Marcia) of Grand Rapids, and Melody (Jerry) Rodgers of Lowell; grandchildren Jonathan, Amanda, George, Michael, William, Jeremy, Randall, James, Kaelin, Ethan, Jamie (Cristina) Brown, Matthew, Kendra, Amber; great-grandchildren Ryse, Kayla, Breanna, Molly, Hailey, Morgan, Zander, Alexis, and Robert III; nieces Nancy Vermilya, Nadine Vermilya, Wilma Anders, Debbie (Paul) Phillips; nephews Cam (Pam) Vermilya, Steve Vermilya, Larry (Elsie) Curtiss. Eula enjoyed time spent with her family, and looked forward to visits with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Eula was an active farm wife, bookkeeper, 49 year employee of the JC Penney Company, Ionia & Grand Rapids stores retiring in 2000, and enjoyed people. Eula played the piano, vibraharp, solovox and organ for over 50 years at the West Berlin Wesleyan Church. Services were held earlier this week.
