  CARMEN RAE CURTISS (WILLIAMS)

Died November 30, 2025-age 85 at Winter Haven, Florida.
Born March 13, 1940 in Grand Rapids, Mich. to William & Vivian 
(Kessler)Williams.
Attended Caledonia & Dorr Schools in Kent County,MI & graduated from Lake Odessa 
High School, Class of 1960, 
Married Larry Robert Curtiss of Lake Odessa on August 6, 1960.
She provided care while working at the Ionia Manor, Hospice Volunteer, providing 
transport & support to appointments , assisting community members in locating 
extended care facilities & in-home assistance, & providing meals to those 
recovering a loss.
Carmen was an active member of West Berlin Wesleyan-Pathway Church in Lake 
Odessa, MI.
In her youth she was a basketball player & a softball pitcher.
She enjoying playing games & riding bikes with kids & grandkids on the farm & in 
Florida.
She made Beautiful Diamond Art pictures she gifted to her loved ones, making 
Annual Christmas Photo Calendars filled with Joy & memories & Memory scrapbooks.
Surviving are her children, Deborah A.(Curtiss) & Paul Phillips of Apalachin, 
New York & Larry Raymond Curtiss of Lake Odessa,MI.
Grandchildren Dawn Carmen (Phillips) & Jeremy Carsman of Thornville, OH & Larry 
Ryan Curtiss & Kay Burns of Lake Odessa, great-grandchildren Julia Ann Carsmen & 
Larry Ryker & Lydia Raeann Curtiss; Sister Mary (Williams) & ROy Copeland of 
Jacksonville, FL, Brothers Donald & Wanda Williams of McAllen,TX, William 
Williams of Louisville KY & John & Barb (VanLan)Williams of Buckley, MI. Several 
nieces & Nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband Robert of 63 years, parents Vivian (Kessler) & 
William Williams, daughter-in-law Elsie Curtiss, brother Dennis Lulofs & sister 
Beverly (Jane Williams) Lawson, & sister in law, Marie Williams.
Funeral Service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Pathway 
A.Wesleyan Church with Pastors John Williams & Bart Denny officiating.
Interment at Clarksville Cemetery.
Visitation Friday, December 12, 2025 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at Pathway A.Wesleyan 
Church Ebenezer Center & one hour prior to services.
May make memorial contributions to Gideon's International, or Winding Creek 
Camp.
Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home Ionia.
