Curtiss, 75, of 1823 Blandford S.W., Grand Rapids, who died June 24 at his residence, were held Wednesday, June 27, at Kuiper Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Bontekoe officiating. Burial was in Saranac Cemetery. Born March 4, 1909, in Berlin Township, he was the son of Azor and Jessie Hughes Curtiss. He was married to Wilma Knapp of Lake Odessa for 45 years and had been employed by farmers and in factories in the area. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Janice Romans of New York and Arlene Speckler of Lowell; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Charles of Lyons, Loren of Florida, Irvin of Saranac and Lynn of Mecosta; five sisters, Myrtle Swanson of Grand Rapids, Carrie Hawley Rhoades of Muir, Elsie Young of Hastings, Helen Darby of Saranac and Ethel Williams of Belding. One brother, Milo of Florida, preceded him in death.
