The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, May 13, 1946

Mrs. Carrie Curvin, 85, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph 
Palmer, Ionia township, after a month of illness.  She was born June 29, 1861 
in Orleans county, New York, and when a small child moved with her parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Houserman, to Berlin township.  On October 18, 1882 she was 
united in marriage to N. Curvin of Ionia and to this union was born two 
children, a son who died in infancy, and the daughter, Mrs. Ralph Palmer with 
whom she was residing.  Her daughter, Mrs. Palmer, is her only survivor.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Myers 
funeral home.  Interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
