Cusack, born Nov. 20, 1959, passed away on Sept. 20, 2013 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. The family wishes to thank all of the Doctors and Nurses of the Carson City and Sparrow Hospitals for all of their committed care for Danny. Dan is survived by the love of his life, wife Eve Cusack, his parents Agnes and Patrick Cusack of Hubbardston, his son Mark Montoya and fiancée Randi Baker and granddaughter Ellie, and his daughter Ashley Montoya. He is also survived by his sisters and their spouses, Gini and Scott Pelton and Rita and Mickey McCann of Manistee and Rosie Cusack of Telluride, Colo., brothers and spouses Kevin and Meg Cusack, Tim and Anne Cusack, Paul and Lana Cusack, Ted and Amanda Cusack, all of Grand Rapids and Marty and Elise Cusack of Buffalo, N.Y. Dan has several nieces and nephews, among them Caitlin (Brendan) and Conor Pelton, Jacob, Joan, Leighton, Alex, Wilson and Peter Cusack, Rachel (Joe) Ringenberg, Isabel and Malcolm Cusack, Molly, Colin and Sara Cusack, Sinead and Declan McCann, Matthew and Joshua Cusack, Quintin, Aidan, Gabriel and Fiona Cusack, and great nieces Lux and Joan Ringenberg, and Finley Grae Blumentritt. Dan was preceded in death by his sister Ann Cusack in 1987. Dan passed away doing what he loved best, helping a friend. His passions in life were his wife Eve, golf and NASCAR. In the summer Danny loved to golf and drink beer. In the winter he loved to watch NASCAR and drink beer. In between, he found time for mushroom and deer hunting with his brothers and brother-in-laws. Over the years he worked in Alaska on the fishing boats, Towers Corp, Federal Mogul in Greenville and TRW in Portland. Danny proudly served on the City Council of the Village of Carson City. He was a Girl Scout Mom and had top cookie sales with Ashley one year. He could sell tickets for anything to raise money for a cause. He also loved football pools. A memorial fund has been established in Danny's name with the Village of Hubbardston Softball Field fund, Village of Hubbardston, P.O. Box 321, Hubbardston, MI 48845. Services are as follows: Tuesday, September 24, 2013, Irish wake from 4-8 p.m. with Celebration of Life beginning at 7 p.m., and Rosary following at St. John the Baptist Church in Hubbardston. Wednesday, Sept. 25, visitation from 9-11 a.m. prior to funeral services at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with internment following. The family invites all of Danny's family and friends to join them for a luncheon following services at the St. John the Baptist Church Hall.
