Jan. 21, 1981 HAZEL M. CUSACK IONIA- Hazel M. Cusack, 73, of 911 W.Main St.,Ionia, died Jan 13 at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 1,1907 in Mount, Minn. the daughter of Riley and Nellie Stenson Leece. She attended International Falls High School and Attended beauty school in Minneapolis. She married Gerald Cusack July 24,1934 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They made their home in Ionia all their married life. Mrs.Cusack was a self-employed beautician for many years, owning shops in Ionia and the surrounding area. She spent winters in Florida the past few years. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church, a Girl Scout leader for the last 25 years, and taught Cub Scouts for several years. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; three sons, Robert of Ionia, David of Ionia, and Edward of Mulliken; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Julie Hall of Ionia, Mrs. Richard Delores Thomas of Ionia, and Mrs. James Diana Fox, of Portland; one brother, Glenn Leece of Clarksville; one sister, Mrs. Fern Agostini of Ionia; 31 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mass was held Jan.17 from SS Peter and Paul with the Rev.Henry Dondzila officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Scriptural wake service was held Jan. 16 from the Leddick Funeral Home.
