June 21, 2016 DANIEL G. CUSACK 1944-2016 Daniel G. Cusack, age 72 of Ionia, Michigan, passed away June 17, 2016. He was born May 19, 1944 in Ionia to C. Ernest and Estelle (Meyers) Cusack. Dan married Mary Millard on Sept 20, 1969 in Ionia. He graduated rom lake Odessa High school in 1962. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church and Knights of Columbus. He was a longtime Harness racer, a past coach of many youth basketball and softball teams. He prepared funeral luncheons and cooked big dinners at church for many years. Dan served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Dan is survived by his wife, Mary Cusack of Ionia; children; Andrew (Melissa) Cusack of Ionia; Caitlin Cusack of Grand Rapids; four grandchildren, Garrett, Rachel, Shawn and Devin; brothers, William (Ann) Cusack of Hasting; Kenneth (Mary Jo) Cusack of Hastings, Patrick (Sherry) Cusack of Delton, MI; James Cusack of grand Rapids; sisters, Rebecca Cusack of Grand Rapids, Janice Cusack Williams of Grand Rapids; Mary (Lawrence) Endres of Lake Odessa; Colleen Cusack of Grand Rapids and sister-in-law, Margaret Cusack of Lake Odessa, MI. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herb Cusack. Funeral Mass will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia on Tuesday, June 21, at 11 a.m. with co-celebrants Father Tom Boufford, Father Mel Fox and Father Brad Schoeberle. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia and from 6-8 p.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia where services will be held at 7:30 p.m.. Visitation on Tuesday at 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SS. Peter and Paul Capital Campaign or SS Peter and Paul School.
