Ionia County News, 31 Mar 1932

Samuel S. Custer, for many years a resident of Bowne township, died at his home
there at nine o’clock Wednesday night, March 30.  He had been suffering from a
kidney disease for several months.

Deceased was born in Campbell township 58 years ago but has lived in Bowne since
he was a small child.  Surviving relatives are his widow, two sons, Roscoe and
Alfred; one brother, Stephen, and a sister, Mrs. J.A. Lehman, all residents of
Bowne township.  Funeral arrangements have not been made.

[Transcriber Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was buried
in Bowne Cemetery.]
