Vernon, New York last night according to a telegram received today by relatives here. His death followed an illness from which he has suffered since last fall, but came unexpectedly. The body will leave New York tonight on the Wolverine flyer and will be brought to Ionia for burial in Balcom cemetery where the funeral party will go directly from the train. Herman Cutler, who in his youth was familiarly known as …[unreadable]… to his schoolmates, was born in Ionia county and attended school here graduating from the Ionia high school in 1902. He was one of Ionia’s most widely known and universally liked boys and left here several years for New York where he has been successful. He married Miss Neva Hungerford of South Bend, Indiana, who with two sons survives him. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Carrie Defendorf, Ionia; Fred Cutler, New York; George Cutler, also of New York, and Henry Cutler, of Minneapolis.
