The Ionia Standard, Friday, February 17, 1882

Mrs. Elizabeth Cutler, who died in this city on Saturday, February 11, was 
born August 15, 1786, at German Flats, Herkimer county, New York, and was 
therefore in her 96th year.  She was the mother of Philo D. and Warner Cutler 
of Ionia township, Mrs. Hampton Rich of this city, and Mrs. John VanNess of 
Cleveland, Ohio.  

The funeral services were held at the residence of Hon. H. Rich Monday 
morning, February 18, and were conducted by Rev. Job Pierson.  The remains 
were taken to Utica, New York, for burial, leaving on the noon train 
accompanied by Philo D. Cutler, son of deceased.
