                            HELEN D. SMITH CUTLER

Helen D. Smith Cutler, 90, died late Thursday evening at the home of her son, 
Elmer Cutler, of Muir. She had been in ill health for the past two years.

She was born July 16, 1852, daughter of Marcus and Sarah Smith, who lived in 
Jackson county. When still a baby, she moved with her parents to Matherton, and 
in 1869, to a farm in Orleans township. November 13, 1888, she was married to 
Fred Cutler of Orleans township, who survives her. She is also survived by a 
son, Elmer D. Cutler; three grandsons, Raymond Butler of Lyons, Marvin Cutler 
of Flint, and Duane Cutler of Muir; also three great-grandchildren; six 
brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She was a member of the Lyons 
Methodist church.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of 
her son in Muir. Rev. Howard Fuller will officiate and burial will be in the 
Highland Park mausoleum.
