The Ionia Sentinel, Tuesday, September 6, 1898
Philo D. Cutler, of Ionia township, for long years a prominent farmer resident 
of Ionia county, died on Monday afternoon at 5 o’clock, at the ripe age of 80 
years and 2 months.  The funeral services will be at 1:30 (standard time), at 
his late home, conducted by Rev. Ainsworth, of Muir, and at the grave the 
ritual service of the G.A.R. will be read.
