Mrs. Nita H. Cutler, 76, of Dearborn, died late Monday evening in a Detroit 
nursing home.  Born in Ionia February 14, 1888, the daughter of James and 
Eliza Kirsheman Hanigan, she graduated from Ionia high school and was married 
to Donald Cutler who died in 1936.  Mrs. Cutler lived most of her adult life 
in and near Detroit.

Survivors include a brother, Earl Hanigan of Detroit; a sister Mrs. Laila 
Nichol of Stockbridge; a nephew, John Irwin Nichol of Stockbridge and a niece, 
Mrs. Robert Barnard of Alexandria, Va.

Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Boynton funeral home with the Rev. 
Wilfred Sawyier officiating.  Burial will be at Highland park cemetery.

Funeral service for Mrs. Nita H. Cutler, 76, former Ionia resident, who died 
in Detroit Monday evening, was held Friday at 2 p.m. at Boynton funeral home.  
Rev. Wilfred Sawyier of First Presbyterian church officiated.

Mrs. Cutler was a member of Pheta Delta Deta sorority when she resided in 
Ionia, and in Detroit was an active member of Detroit City club, circle 
Dramatique, interested in the Healers and an active worker in the cancer 
clinic in Detroit.

Bearers were Max Koss, Leland Hicks, Fred Gallagher, Phillip Pittenger, Eugene 
McDermott and Arthur H. Cutler.

Out of town relatives attending the service were Mrs. Laila Nichol, Mr. and 
Mrs. John Nichol and Lauri Nichol of Stockbridge; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene 
McDermott, Earl Hanigan and Mrs. Edgar Yeager, Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur 
Cutler and Margaret Cutler of Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs. Dorothy Barnard of 
Alexandria, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Pittenger, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Saurman, 
Mrs. Phyllis Westra, Mrs. John Goddin, Mrs. Lester Alcumbrock and Mrs. Carroll 
Saurman, all of Grand Rapids.

Interment was at Highland Park cemetery.
