Ionia Sentinel Standard, Oct 2008

Michael J. Cyr, 51, of Portland, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed
away on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008.  He was born on Jan. 10, 1957 in Grand Rapids
the son of Gerald and Genevieve (Vandenbroeck) Cyr.  Mr. Cyr was an avid NASCAR
#88 fan, and U of M fan who loved his CB, camping, boating, his truck and
especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Surviving are his wife of 28 years,
Rose Ann Cyr; three children, Amy Cyr, Connie (Garfield) Barnett, and Aaron
(Lila Lumbert) Doty; seven grandchildren; sister, Patty Cyr; brother, Jerry Cyr.

The Funeral Service was held Oct. 3 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home,
Portland.
