Sentinel-Standard - Friday, Aug. 15, 1941

Mrs. Carrie Mae Dadd, 74, died at her home in Saranac Thursday evening, at 7:00 
o'clock. Born August 5, 1867, in New York state, she moved to this vicinity 
when was a young woman. She lived in Ionia for about 40 years, but moved to 
Saranac three years ago. Her husband died in Ionia in 1922.

Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Florence Brook of Saranac, Stephen Dadd of 
Lyons, Mrs. Ruth Magnant, of Newaygo, Ray Dadd of Lansing, Lester Dadd of 
Ionia, Charles, Ivan and Harold Dadd of Grand Rapids; 24 grandchildren and one 
great grandchild. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Myers 
funeral home, with Rev. Branch of Grand Rapids officiating. Interment will be 
held at Highland Park cemetery.
