Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 10 Feb 1960

Charley Dahl, 80, 224 King street, died early Wednesday morning after being ill
since December 24.  He was born June 15, 1879 in Chicago, Ill., the son of
Dietrich and Sofia Anderson Dahl.  He was married to Mary Peterson in Ionia
December 8, 1920 and they had spent their entire married life here.  Mr. Dahl
was custodian at the Ionia county courthouse 11 years and retired 11 years ago.
 Prior to that he worked in local factories.  He was a member of the Zion EUB
church 39 years.

Surviving are his wife, Mary, one nephew and several cousins.

Funeral service will be conducted at the Evangelical United Brethren church
Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Ray R. Fassett.  Burial will be at Highland Park
cemetery.  Mr. Dahl’s body is at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home.
