Dailey of Alma, Michigan, daughter of John and Anna Feary, died at the home of her son, Manley, Friday, November 25th, 1938, where she had gone to spend Thanksgiving. Mrs. Dailey was born at Rush, N.Y., June 28th, 1867, later moving to Avon, N.Y., where she lived until 1886, when she came to Ionia, Michigan. She was united in marriage to Albert Dailey of Lake Odessa, Michigan, February 18, 1891, where they resided a few years until moving to a farm near Butternut, Michigan, and a little later to a farm near Riverdale, until Mr. Dailey’s death in 1903. In 1914 she moved to Forest Hill, where she was manager of the telephone office for eight years. Mrs. Dailey also lived in Lansing for some time, and while there became a member of the Church of Christ, and continued her membership as a non-resident member, with that church until her death. The last few years of her life were spent at or near Alma, Michigan. She is survived by five children, Rev. A. J. Dailey of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Ford Antes of Ithaca, Michigan, Mrs. Vern Maxwell and Mrs. Nyda Downs of North Star, Michigan, and Manley Dailey of Riverdale, Michigan, besides several grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Dailey was greatly loved by all who knew her, and hers was a true Christian character to the end. Funeral services were conducted November 28th, 1938, at Ithaca, Michigan by Rev. Waterworth of Lansing. Mr. Smith sang, “The Last Mile of the Way” and “No Night There.” Interment was made at Lake Odessa, Michigan beside her husband. Mrs. Dailey was a sister of the late Mrs. E. C. Henty, whose husband was station agent at Butternut for a number of years.
