BERNARD THOMAS DAILEY, 81
Bernard Thomas Dailey, 81, of Hubbardston, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at 
his home.

Barnie was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Ionia County,, the son of Victor and Martha 
(Navin) Dailey. Barnie married Vicki Lynn Travis on Oct. 27, 1962, in Ionia. 
Barnie was a member of St.John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston, the 
UAW and the Maple Rapids Coon Club. He worked for general Motors in Lansing for 
30 years before retiring.

After retirement he started a successful dog training business drawing hunters 
and their dogs from all over the Midwest to his kennel. He enjoyed rabbit, bear 
and coon hunting with his dogs, fishing, going to the UP and was an avid 
outdoorsman. Barnie was very proud of his Irish heritage, was a wonderful 
grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grand children.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki, children, Matthew Charles Dailey, Lynette 
Marie (Mark) Ward, Thomas Richard (Stephanie) Dailey, grandchildren, Erica, 
Courtney, Trevor, Tara, Maeve, great-grandchildren Olivia, Dane, Landon, brother 
Jack (Janet) Dailey and many nieces and nephews.

Barnie was preceded in death by his parents, son James Arley Dailey and brothers 
Russell and Bill Dailey.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Friday at 1  p.m. at St.John the Baptist 
Catholic Church in Hubbardston. Interment will follow at St.John the Baptist 
Catholic cemetery. Visitation was Friday from 11 a.m. until time of Mass at the 
church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lux and Schnepp
