E. Dake died this morning at 6 o’clock, after an illness of three weeks with peritonitis, at the age of 23 years. Mr. and Mrs. Dake have recently been occupying living rooms over the Brown Furniture Co. store, but death occurred at the home of his mother, on Forrest street, whither the sick woman was taken a few days ago, apparently somewhat improved of her illness. Deceased was Maud Bradish in her maidenhood, daughter of Samuel Bradish of Vickeryville. She was married four years ago and numbered very many friends among the railroad people of Ionia, where the bereaved husband is employed as an engineer on the P.M. railroad. She was a beloved member of the Knight and Ladies of Security. Funeral at 2 o’clock on Sunday afternoon, attended from the Church of Christ, and burial will be in Highland Park.
