Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Aug. 8, 1927

Word has been received in Ionia of the death of P.T. Daken, Thursday, August 4. 
He died at the home of his sister in New York, where he was visiting, death 
being caused by cancer of the bowels. He was the janitor of the second ward 
school for many years and until his age forced him to retire. He was 76 years 
old last February. He was buried in New York. He leaves a wife, a daughter, 
Mrs. Bernie Humphrey, Ionia, and a son, Earl Daken, of Rockford.
