He was born on May 9, 1948 and was raised in Ionia and Fenwick the son of Ernest and Waynetta (Castle) Dalton. David graduated from Central Montcalm School in 1966. He married Marcia Lynn Conner on July 2, 1966 in Ionia. He worked in route sales and had his own construction business. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Eagles in Greenville. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marcia, grandson, Jeremy, brother, Fredrick, parents and mother and father-in-law. Surviving are children, Daniel John Dalton of Ionia and Lori (Ronald) Pennock of Goshen, Ind.; grandchildren, Heather and Sara Pennock of Orleans and Adam Fish and Jared Dalton of Lowell; sisters, Freida (Ron) Bachman of Howell, Nola Dalecke-Shoup of Grand Rapids and Mary (Tom) Barnwell of Stanton; brothers Keith (Pauline) Dalton of Maple Rapids and Jack Dalton of Fenwick; brothers-in- law, Don Conner of Hastings and Bob (Jane) Conner of Ionia; several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunt, Margarett Stowell of Woodland. Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia; with Pastor Jamey Nichols, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
