He was born March 15, 1887, in Bloomer township, Montcalm county and lived all of his life as a farmer in Bloomer and Palo until moving to Ionia four years ago. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge. He was married to Edith Jackson in 1906 and she preceded him in death in 1932. In 1946 he was married to Mildred Marshall who survives him. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Frieda Morris of Greenville; one son, Raymond Dalton of Hubbardston, rural route; three step-daughters, Mrs. Lucille Friend, Mrs. Elaine Meth and Mrs. Betty Rymuzs all of Detroit; two step- sons; John Marshall and Lloyd Marshall of Detroit; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ben, of rural route Hubbardston. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan with the Rev. Sinclair Parson officiating. Interment will be at Bloomer Center cemetery.
