The Greenville Daily News, Monday, January 10, 1955


Ernest Dalton, 67, died Saturday at Ionia Memorial Hospital.  Born in Montcalm 
County March 15, 1887, he lived at Palo and Bloomer Center most of his life.  
He had lived the past four years at Ionia.  He was a farmer and a member of the 
IOOF.  Mr. Dalton was married in 1906 to Edith Jackson, who died in 1932.  In 
1946 he married Mildred Marshall, who survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frieda Morris, Greenville; a son, 
Raymond, Hubbardston; a brother, Ben, Hubbardston; three stepdaughters, Mrs. 
Lucy Friend, Mrs. Elaine Meth, and Mrs. Betty Rymuzs, Detroit; two stepsons, 
John and Lloyd Marshall of Detroit; 11 grandchildren and five great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Stebbins Funeral Home, 
Sheridan, by Dr. S. C. Parsons.  Burial will be at Bloomer Center Cemetery.
