Adelaide K. Dalton, aged 93, of Lake Odessa, was taken Home on Tuesday 
evening, January 3, 2006 and re-united with her beloved husband, Raymond. 
Adelaide was born in Waterman, DeKalb County, IL on June 8, 1912 to George and 
Mae (Gallup) Coppess. 

She graduated from Sunfield High School, and then attended nursing school and 
worked at a nursing home in Charlotte for a number of years. Adelaide was 
united in marriage to Raymond Dalton on November 4, 1933; together they farmed 
in the Lake Odessa area for many years. 

She is survived by her son, David Dalton; sister, Dorothy Steward; and many 
nieces and nephews. Adelaide was preceded in death by her parents; husband, 
Raymond; and brothers, John Coppess, George Coppess and Charles Coppess.

Visitation will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa on 
Thursday, January 5, 2006 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The funeral service will be 
held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 6 at the Lakewood United Methodist Church. 
Burial will be in Woodland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made 
to the American Cancer Society.
