HELEN M. DALY
Mrs. Helen M. Daly, 86, of Ionia passed away Saturday, September 21, 2002 at 
the Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on February 10, 1916 in Portland, the daughter of Frank and 
Pauline (Belen) Trierweiler. Helen was a longtime member of SS. Peter and 
Paul Catholic Church in Ionia and a member of the Rosary Society. Helen along 
with her husband, Jim owned and operated Jimmy's in Lake Odessa, the Lyons 
Bar and the Ionia Inn for over 20 years.

Surviving are one daughter Mary Teresa Brooks of Grand Ledge; three sons, 
James of Ionia, Dennis of Ionia and Gary of Ionia; 10 grandchildren; 17 
great-grandchildren; one brother, Francis (Wilma) Trierweiler of Westphalia; 
four sisters, Genevieve LaRue of Arizona, Arlene (Norm) Rademacher of St. 
Johns, Mary Jane (Fred) Grove of Wacousta; and Joyce (Alvin) Kloeckner of 
Eagle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Daly Jr. on April 7, 1996; 
one grandson, Jordan Daly; two brothers; and two sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Wednesday from SS. Peter & 
Paul Catholic Church, Ionia, with Fr. Melvin Fox as presider. The organist 
will be Mary Cusack. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 
from 2-4 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday with a Rosary service 8 p.m., Tuesday 
at the Rich St. Chapel of Cook Funeral home, Ionia.

Memorial contributions can be made to the SS. Peter and Paul Church Memorial 
Fund in care of Cook Funeral Home.
