Dalzell was born February 22, 1857, and died May 7, 1923, aged 66 years. He was the youngest of the family of James and Seiganna Dalzell and the last to depart this life. He was married to Elizabeth Love, of St. Johns in 1879. To them were born two daughters, Miss Mildred Dalzell, of Muir, and Mrs. Don Miller, of Detroit. They began their married life on the farm where he was born and continued to live there until six years ago, when they moved to the village of Muir, where they have since resided. Honesty and loyalty to his friends and love and devotion to his family were keynotes of his character. It is needless to say he was a sincere friend and neighbor, for all those who lived near him have felt the influence of his life upon them. He will be sadly missed, but not forgotten. Mr. Dalzell is survived by the widow, two daughters, three grandchildren, Don, George, and Alice Gay Miller, and many relatives and friends. [Transcriber’s note: There is a notation on the obituary card that he was buried in North Plains Cemetery.] File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/d/dalzell24990nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
