Mr. Dalziel was a native of Wishaw, Scotland, and emigrated to this country over 50 years ago. He removed to Michigan when it was a territory, settling near Pontiac. He afterwards removed to Ionia county, and subsequently to Big Prairie, Newaygo county. He was one of the early pioneers of the Muskegon Valley, having lived here upwards of 30 years, and was known among the early settlers as “Uncle Alex.” He was sick but a few days, and when the dread messenger came he passed away as quietly as if dropping to sleep. His age was 82 years and 4 months.
