Doris M. (Smith) Dancer age 93 of Allegan, formerly of Ionia, passed away 
September 3, 2014.  She was born January 20, 1921 in Ionia the daughter of 
Herman and Caroline (Miller) Smith, Sr. 

Doris married Frank Dancer on July 8, 1942.  He passed away in 1998.  She was a 
past member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Ionia.  Doris was a loving mother, 
grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Glenora Dancer of Middleville; 
grandchildren, Paula (Owen) Thiel of Allegan, Connie (Gabe) Hull of Grand 
Rapids, and Gary (Kurstin) Dancer Jr. of Coldwater; great-grandchildren, 
Carter, Logan, Walker, Majesta, Morgan, and Gabbie; several nieces, & 
nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Dancer; 
son, Gary Dancer; brother, Herm Smith Jr. and sister, Alice Smith. 

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, September 13th, 11 a.m. at Balcom 
Cemetery in Ionia with Nancy Patera officiating.  Those wishing, may make 
donations to Lemmen Holten Cancer Center.  Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia.
