The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, July 19, 1961
Funeral service for Robert R. Dancer, 36, Ionia county 4-H agent, was held 
Tuesday afternoon at LeValley Methodist church.  The Rev. Donald Meikle 
officiated.  Mr. Dancer died Saturday forenoon at Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.

Honorary bearers were Fred Cowham, Russell Mawby, Dr. M. E. Slagh, William E. 
Weisgerber, and Philip Shetterly.  Active bearers were Louis Webb, Charles 
Lange, Arthur Smith, Fred Peabody, William Pryer, and William Kirkpatrick. 

Organist was Mrs. Frank Stout, and vocalist, Thelma Stout.  Mrs. Lester 
Wolverton, Mrs. Sterry Stout, Mrs. Vivian Walkington, Thelma Stout and Edith 
Stout where in charge of flowers.

Ionia county officials and courthouse employees attended in a group, also 
members of Ionia Lions club and Ionia Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Persons attended from Jackson, Hanover, Lansing, East Lansing, Flint, Owosso, 
Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Washington, D.C., Tennessee, Reed City, Mecosta, 
Hesperia, Paw Paw, Mount Pleasant, Mason, Eaton Rapids, Charlotte, Alpena, 
Saranac, Lake Odessa, Portland, Stanton, Pewamo, Marshall, Belding, Kalamazoo, 
Muir, Lyons, Horton, Sturgis, Hastings, New York, Clare, Farwell, Sparta, 
Okemos, Detroit, Holt, St. Joseph, Cement City, Roger City, Sebewaing, 
Corunna, Lowell, Coleman, Orleans, Cass City, Cassopolis, Wyoming and 
Huntington Woods.
