The funeral services will be held from the Methodist Episcopal church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Those wishing to view the remains may do so by calling at the home, 320 East Main street, before 1 o’clock Tuesday. The casket will not be opened at the church. The interment will be made in the Highland Park cemetery. The services at the house are for relatives only. Mr. Danforth was reared in the vicinity of Marne, where his parents moved when he was a small child. At the age of 19 years he came to Ionia, and entered the employ of the Pere Marquette shops, and with the exception of about five years continued in the employment of the Pere Marquette company until his failing health compelled him to give up his work. During the five years of interim that he was not employed by this company he lived in Minneapolis and Marne. He was united in marriage to Julia DeKwak 49 years ago last February. She and two daughters, Mrs. Parke Wilson and Mrs. Clark Seymour, both of Ionia, survive him. He also leaves a brother, Charles Danforth, of Marne, and three nephews and three nieces. Early in life he affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal church, and was a member of the Masonic lodge, Knights Templar, of Ionia, and the Mystic Shrine, at Grand Rapids.
