Andrus Daniels, an old and respected resident of the state, died at the home of 
his daughter, Mrs. Aldrich, in Sebewa, Ionia Co., April 18th, of general 
decline.  He was born in 1812, at Burlington, Vt.  In 1827 he went to New York 
state, where in 1834 he was united in marriage to Miss Eunice Merryfield; as 
the fruitage of this union eight children were given – two sons and six 
daughters.  In 1854 he came to Michigan, where he has since resided.

In early life he became a Christian and was ever found an earnest and 
consistent advocate of the faith.  In his political relations he was a 
republican, being at his death a member of the Harrison club.  He leaves to 
mourn his loss an aged companion, seven children, thirty two grandchildren and 
nine great grandchildren, besides a large circle of friends.
