Sylvester Daniels Died in California; Rites at Lake-O

Funeral services for Sylvester C. Daniels, 90, former Lake Odessa area resident
who died in Redlands, Calif., early Monday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at
the Pickens chapel in Lake Odessa.  The Rev. Robert Eldredge is to officiate
with burial in Lakeside cemetery.  Mr. Daniels died at the home of his son,
Robert, where he had lived for the past 10 years.

He was born Dec. 9, 1868, in Sebewa township, the son of Oren and Sarah Daniels.
 He married Elizabeth Henderson on Dec. 21, 1899.  For a number of years they
lived on a farm in Sebewa, later moving to Lake Odessa.  She died shortly after.

On Aug. 17, 1938, he married Mrs. Clara Allen, of Lake Odessa.  She died in July
of 1948 and soon after he moved to California.

In addition to his son, he is survived by four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs.
Carrie Kimble, Grand Rapids, and two brothers, Tillison and Andrus, of Lake Odessa.

His body is to arrive at the Pickens chapel this Thursday.
