Rev. F.H. Cramer, pastor of the local Methodist church officiated and burial was made on the family lot in the cemetery near Vickeryville. Rachel Adelia Abbott was born in Montcalm County, Mich., Feb. 7, 1869 and departed this life at the home of her daughter June 10, 1936 at the age of 67 years 4 months, 3 days. On March 17, 1886 she was united in marriage to Jay E. Daniels who preceded her in death 5 months ago. To this union was born four children, Mrs. Edna Brand of Evergreen township, Perry Daniels of Lansing, Mich., Lawrence Daniels of Middleton, and Mrs. Mabel Garner of Middleton. Besides the children she leaves to mourn their loss one sister, Mrs. Olive Grim of Fenwick, one brother, Benjamin Abbott of Middleton, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of relatives and friends. She was a member of the Mud Lake Baptist church. In April, 1920 she, with her husband, moved to Belding. While here, she attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the South Side Aid. She was a kind and loving Mother and was patient through all her suffering, caused by a lingering case of anemia. Among local friends to attend the funeral services of Mrs. Jay Daniels which were held from the Mud Lake Baptist church near Sheridan on Saturday were Mrs. Vernon La Daw, Miss Lena Thompson and Miss Alen, Mrs. Charles Cowles, Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Hopwood, Mrs. Frank Rowland, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Shippee beside Rev. and Mrs. F.H.
