Lake Odessa – Jay B. Daniels, 84, retired farmer of route 2, Lake Odessa died
Wednesday night at 7 o’clock at Pennock hospital in Hastings where he had been a
patient for three weeks.  Mr. Daniels was born February 3, 1872 in Sebewa and
was the son of Oren and Sarah Daniels.  He had spent his entire life in the area.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Emerson (Ellen) Soule of Portland, Mrs.
Earnest (Sarah) Harris and Mrs. Thomas (Evelyn) Wacha, both of Lake Odessa; two
sons, Calvin of Grand Rapids and Albert at home; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Kimble
and three brothers, Sylvester of California, Andrus and Til, both of Lake
Odessa.  Mrs. Daniels died several years ago.

Friends and relatives are being received at the Pickens funeral chapel where
funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Interment
will be in Lakeside cemetery.
