Hasting's Reminder - Friday June 18, 2010

                             Roger L.Daniels

LAKE ODESSA,MI-Roger L.Daniels, age 76, of Lake Odessa, passed away on June 16 
2010 a his residence.

Roger was born in Lake Odessa on march 8, 1934 to Laverne Sr. and Dortha 
Daniels.Roger attended lake Odessa schools and graduated in 1952 He was an all-
star athlete in football, basketball, track and baseball and was recognized for 
his contributions to the school as a student athlete.

Roger served his country in the United States Army from 1954-1956.

Roger is survived by his only child, Megan Daniels, of Waterford; ex-wife, 
Denise Straley of Hastings; niece Juanita (Daniels)Kosters of Grandville; 
nephew, Rob Daniels of San Francisco, CA; great-niece,Vicki Makley of Grand 
Rapids; cousins, Judy (Jackson) Laidler of Holland and Burwayne Jackson of 
Fallbrook, VA; and his special animal friend, Sparky.

Preceded in death were his parents; brother,Laverne Daniels Jr.;and sister-in-
law, Etheleen Daniels.

A memorial gathering will be held to celebrate Roger's life. the memorial will 
be on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the large pavilion at Charlton park, 
located at 2545 S.Charlton Park Rd., Hastings. (www.charltonpark.org)
