The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, May 16, 1935
Mrs. Jay Daniels, 52, died at her home east of here in Sebewa, Saturday 
morning, after an illness of several weeks.  She had been in failing health 
for the past couple of years.  Mrs. Daniels was born in Berlin township, her 
maiden name being Viola May Heator.  In 1903 she was married to Henry Rush and 
to this union one child was born, who survives her.

On November 9, 1909 she was married to Jay Daniels.  To this union four 
children were born.  She is survived by the husband, three daughters, Mrs. 
Emerson Soules at Lowell, Mrs. Ernest Harris at Lake Odessa, Mrs. Thomas Wacha 
at home; two sons, Calvin and Albert, 13, at home; an aged mother Mrs. Miranda 
Heator, one sister Mrs. Chris Fahrni, one brother Erwin Heator, a grandchild, 
and many other relatives.

The funeral was held at the home Monday afternoon, the Rev. George J. Start of 
the Lake Odessa Congregational church officiating.  Interment was made in 
Lakeside cemetery.  Those from a distance who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Frank 
Kimble, Mr. and Mrs. Annie Denise of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Joseph Wacha and son 
John of Orleans, Mrs. Mary Drake of Sunfield, and Wesley Lovell of Clio.

We wish to sincerely thank all who assisted us during the sickness and death 
of our dear wife and mother, also the brothers and sisters, Mrs. J. Heator, 
Mr. and Mrs. Chris Fahrni, J. Irwin Heator and family, Baptist Aid society, 
the missionary societies of the East Odessa church, Community club and all 
others who sent flowers, the minister for his comforting words, and those who 
assisted us in any way.
