Ionia Sentinel Standard, 11 Dec 1971

Mrs. Beatrice Irene Danks, 71, of Pigeon, formerly of Lansing and Orleans areas,
died Friday at Belding Community hospital.  She was born in Merrill, June 1,
1900, and was the former Beatrice Pickard.  A member of St. Francis Borgia
Catholic church in Pigeon she also belonged to its Altar society.

Surviving are her husband, John; daughter, Mrs. Maurice Clements of Orleans and
step-daughter, Mrs. Harvey Weise of Pigeon; son, Clinton Couzzins of DeWitt;
four stepsons, Raymond, Rollie and Jack Danks of Saginaw and Robert Danks of
Caseville; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several step
grandchildren; brother, Gerald Pickard of Chelsea.

Funeral mass will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic church in
Lansing.  Rev. Fr. Jerome Schmidt will be celebrant and interment will be at
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.  Arrangements were made by Charles M.
Courser funeral home in Belding.
