He was born March 3, 1916, in Greenville, the son of Clyde C. and Jennie E. Dann. He began work with Federal-Mogul when the plant opened in Greenville in 1939, and retired as general foreman with more than 30 years of service. He married Christine Petersen May 11, 1935, in Kalamazoo. He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Christine; their daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Wayne Breimayer of Belding; their son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Rosemarie Dann of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Everett Dann of Catonsville, Md.; his sisters and brother-in-law, Olive Hancock, Esther and Richard Rhodes, all of Greenville; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Annabelle Tenney of Greenville, Betty and Ted Hessler of Belding, Stanwood Peterson of Gowen; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Aaron Sorrels of Settlement Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Langston. Visitation is one hour prior to services on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
