Born April 7, 1892, in Palo, she was the daughter of Gabriel and Laura Smith Minier. She attended schools in Ionia County and business school in Grand Rapids and also taught in Ionia County rural schools. She was married to Stanley Dann in 1935; he preceded her in death Oct. 30, 1979. For a time the Danns were publishers and operators of the Lake Odessa Wave. She also worked as a secretary at the Lake Odessa Canning Co. A member of the Central United Methodist Church of Lake Odessa, she was also a member of the W.C.T.U. and the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by four nieces and three nephews: Mrs. Mildred Badder of Ionia, Mrs. Bernice Andrews of Lennon; Robert Minier of Genesee; Bert Minier of Bradenton, Fla.; Harold Minier of Naples, Fla.; Mrs. Arthur (June) Hinman of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Fred (Donna) Wilson of West Simsbury, Conn. One sister, Elsie, and two brothers, Don and Fred, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. from the Pickens-Koop Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa, the Rev. Stephen Keller officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. The family will be a the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m.. A memorial has been established for Central United Methodist Church, Lake Odessa, in the care of the funeral home.
