Lake Odessa Wave, 31 May 1928

One of the oldest and best known residents of this township died at his home 
here Thursday morning.  For some time Mr. Darby has been suffering from 
hardening of the arteries and anemia, but has only been confined to his home 
for a few weeks.

He was an energetic man and was down town always when the weather permitted.  
He never seemed old, but kept his life and energy alert.

He was an honored member of the I.O.O.F. where he will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be held at two o’clock at the Congregational church, Saturday.
