Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Mar 1972

Mrs. Earl Darby, 83, of 2913 North State road, died Friday at Ionia County
Memorial hospital.  Born in DeWitt, February 17, 1889 she was a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Morgan Nelson, and was married 42 years ago in Toledo, Ohio to Earl
Darby.  

Mr. and Mrs. Darby have owned and operated a store and service station on North
M66 the past 40 years.

Surviving besides her husband Earl, is one brother, Harry Nelson of rural Ionia.

The body is at Myers-Roetman funeral home where friends may call Sunday between
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home,
the Rev. George Chaffee of Zion United Methodist church officiating.  Burial
will be in Easton cemetery.
