Belding Banner - Thursday, Feb. 20, 1908

William Darby, an old resident of Keene, died of heart disease at his home, 
February 14. He had lived until March 4 he would have been 81 years of age. The 
funeral was held Sunday at the Saranac M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. G.K. 
Fairbanks, and was very largely attended. Mr. Darby will be greatly missed as 
he was of a jovial disposition and always ready to help others in time of 
trouble. Such men surely  help to make the world happier.

His widow, Mary Jane Darby, passed away in 1927 and is buried on the same plot.
