Helen Darby age 89 of Saranac passed away at Laurels of Kent Jan 9,2004. She 
was born in Boston Twp. August 3, 1914 to the parents of Azor Curtis and 
Jessie Huges. She married Lyle Darby January 18 1933 in Saranac. Along with 
her husband they owned and operated Darbys Auto Service for 40 years. 

She is survived by 2 children Earl (Carol) Darby of Lake Odessa and Sally 
Gould of Lowell, one brother Lynn (Lois) Curtis of Big Rapids. 12 
Grandchildren and Many Great Grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by one 
son Donald and daughter JoAnn Smith. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 12 at 11 A.M. at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Saranac with Rev. James Frank Officiating interment Saranac 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives 1 hour prior to 
service. Arrangements by the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
