Ray A. Darby Dies at Clarksville

Ray A. Darby age 76 years, of 116 Cross Street, Clarksville, died at his home 
Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock after a nineteen year  illness. He was born May 
10, 1891 in Campbell Township, the son of Rufus and Margaret (Herron) Darby and 
had lived on the family farm until his illness.

He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth A. Pratt, one daughter, Mrs. Wm.  
(Virginia) Darby of Saranac, one son, Gordon of Ada, four grandchildren and one 
brother, Ross Darby of Mooresville, Ind. 

Services for Mr. Darby were held at the Pickens Chapel in Clarksville Monday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Don Mathis officiating. Burial was in the 
Saranac Cemetery.
