Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 17 Aug 1977

Edward J. Dargis, 91, formerly of 1516 West Ottawa, died Tuesday at a Lansing
hospital.  He had been a resident of Lansing for 55 years coming to the area
from Ionia.

Mr. Dargis was a charter member of Holy Cross church, a member of the Holy Name
society and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. 

He was employed as a pattern maker for Fisher Body, retiring in 1952 after 30
years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Rose C. and many nieces and nephews.

Mass is Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross church in Lansing with Father Keith
O’Neill officiating.  Burial is in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Ionia, Friday at 2 p.m.
 Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Palmer-Bush funeral home,
520 East Mt. Hope, Lansing.  Charter club rosary is Thursday at 2 p.m. in the
funeral home.  Bearers are James Roman, Thomas Roman, Joseph Roman, Dennis
Roman, Michael Roman and Robert Grescowle.
