Services Held for Charles F. Darling

Charles F. Darling, 90 a retired carpenter, passed away Saturday night at
Pennock Hospital after a long illness.  He was admitted to the hospital Friday
evening.  A native of Marshall, he had lived at Lansing before moving here in
1950 after his retirement.

Mr. Darling was a member of the Calvary United Brethren Church.  He married
Bertha Tissue at Crystal Lake in 1899 and she passed away in April, 1938.  He
married Myrtle Bippley of Lake Odessa April 12, 1939.  She survives.

Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Croupe of Midland; a
stepson, Edward Bippley of Detroit; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and
a brother, William Bippley of Lansing.

Funeral services were held Tuesday evening at 7:30 at the Pickens Funeral
Chapel.  Rev. Norman Wibert officiated with burial in the River Ridge Cemetery,
Belding.
