Darling, 75 passed away Saturday evening at Pennock hospital, a few minutes after admittance. He has been a resident here since 1910 and was employed the Morhardt Market and later by the Garlinger Market until 1929 when he operated a market of his own for five years. After leaving the business, he moved to a farm northeast of town where he farmed until moving back to town in 1949. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary two years ago. Mr. Darling was a member of the Calvary United Brethren church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Frances) Fuller of Lake Odessa; two sons, Albert of Portland and Forrest of East Lansing; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Brownell of Battle Creek, Mrs. Agnes Smith of Hartford and Mrs. Blanche Brandt of Colon, Michigan; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. His wife Edythe passed away one year ago April 22. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 PM at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Isaac Osgood officiated.
