Ionia Shopper's Guide - Sat. December 2, 2023

                    DARLING

Kara Marie Hatinger Darling, age 47 of Ionia, passed away after a Courageous and 
Valiant battle with Cancer. She attended Ionia Public School and graduated with 
the class of 1993. While in School Kara was involved with the Swinging Gates 4-H 
Club. She was a devotee Mom and Homemaker while the kids were growing up. Kara 
treasured her children and grandchildren. She was baptized at Restore Church.

Surviving are her parents; Tom and Diane Hatinger of Newaygo. Children: Kelsey 
Darling (Corey Fothergill) of Ionia, Austin (Shianne) Darling of Portland, Jacob 
(Millie) Darling of Portland and Elijah Goins of Ionia. Grandchildren; Kora, 
Mila, Nova, Grayson, Leighton, Aiden and new grandchild coming soon. Brothers: 
Clay (Jessica) Hatinger of Saranac and Nickolas (Kavita) Hatinger of Olympia, 
Washington. Nephew Ledge Hatinger and Niece Zellie Hatinger.

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Carroll "Bud" and Gloria Hatinger 
who referred to Kara as their "little star" John H.Bell and Martha and Manuel 
Flores.

Memorial services will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia Sunday, December 
3,2023 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 12:00-1:00p.m. 
prior to services. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia
