Sentinel-Standard - Monday Jan. 8, 1968

Lake Odessa- Funeral services for Charles F. Darling, 90, will be Tuesday 
evening at 7:30 pm at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Rev. Norman Wibert 
will officiate and burial will be in River Ridge cemetery in Belding.

Mr. Darling lived at 1117 Second avenue in Lake Odessa and died Saturday 
evening at Pennock hospital in Hastings following a lengthy illness.

Born November 6, 1877 in Marshall he was the son of Henry and Frances Lazurus 
Darling. He was married to Bertha Tissue at Crystal Lake in 1899 and she 
preceded him in death in 1938. April 12, 1939 he was married to Myrtle Bipley 
of Lake Odessa and she survives.

He was a former resident of Lansing, a retired carpenter and member of Calvary 
United Brethren church.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; one daughter, Mrs. Donald Croupe of Midland; 
one step-son, Edward Bipley of Detroit; eight grandchildren; and a brother, 
William Darling of Lansing.
